Rules of emotional expression is a social skills gradually mastered by the individual in theprocess of social interaction, it is established when individuals can correctly understand theemotions of the case, according to different situations and different objects, expressing theiremotion properly, rather than from his own heartfeelings, or taking out their emotions.Emotional Display Rules influenced by social customs and cultural background, for example,in the context of Chinese culture background, performance too happy in front of peers whenachieved good results is inappropriate, however, in Western individualistic culturalatmosphere, emotional performance in this context is more likely to be accepted. Emotionalexpression rules research is a part of the scope of the emotional understanding study, at thesame time, the mastery of the rules of emotional expression is built on the basis of thedevelopment of the children’s emotional expression rules cognitive, emotional expressionrules cognition is an important element of emotional cognitive, playing an important role inthe development of children’s social competence. To explore the Features of the developmentof the children’s emotional expression rules cognitive and its relationship with the socialbehavior plays a vital role for improving children’s social adaptability, improving peerrelationship and parent-child relationship. Emotional Display Rules cognitive mainly involvesthree aspects, One is researching the situation of individual how to grasp the expressionregulation knowledge, whether the individuals able to understand the emotion correctly aswell as understanding of the internal and external emotional expression should be different;another is the motivation of the emotional the expression rules, also the investigation ofindividual Why to use the emotional display rules; the third is about emotional expression rulestrategy, also investigating individuals how to make internal and external emotionalexpression different.In this study, we use the story scenarios,the teacher evaluation method and the parentsevaluation method to study the relationships of904-6year-old children’s emotionalexpression cognitive rules and social behaviour,Through story scenario, teacher evaluationand parents evaluation method.The first half of the study examines the different ages, gender,interpersonal relationships children’s development characteristics of the emotional expressionrules cognitive; the latter part is using the teacher evaluation method and the parentsevaluation method, and then combined with the first half of the research on the cognitivedevelopment of children’s emotional expression rules, examine children’s emotionalexpression rules cognition and children’s social behavior. Results are as follows:1.The cognitive development level of children’s emotional expression rule continuouslyimproves with age, and girls’ development level of the emotional expression rules cognitivebetter than boys’; more hide their anger when children in the face of teachers.2. The cognitive development level of children’s emotional expression rules motivationgradually increases with age and, the level of development of girls is higher than boys; therewas no significant difference in understanding and using the two emotions expression rulesmotivation.3.Under the anger contexts, neutralization was used by most children, the least to it wasdeamplification.4.Children’s prosocial behavior and aggressive and destructive behaviour were stability, shy and drawn behavior is gradually reduced with increasing age; girls’ prosocial behaviour morethan boys’, aggressive and destructive behaviour less than boys’, but shy and drawn behaviourhad no significant gender differences.5.The cognitive development level of children’s emotional expression rules could positivelypredict children’s prosocial behavior, negatively predict aggressive and destructive behaviour.
