Emotional display rule means the forecast social contract or the social rule which is about how to appropriatly express the emotion.It is an important field of Children's Psycology and has an effect on the academic evolution of theory of mind,emotion understanding and sociality.By far,the experiment research concentrated mainly on negative emotion field,but not on possitive emotion field.The participants are mostly primary or older children,instead of kindergarten children.Besides,researchers studied more about the congnitive of emotion display rules,but not about the using of emotion display rules.The participants of this study are 156 kindergarten children aged from 3 to 6 years old. We used story interviews and experimental observations to examine children's congnitive and using of emotion display rules, and the conclusions are as follows:1.With the growing of ages,children's congnitive ability of angry display rules gradually improved; the congnitive development of girls'angry display rules were better than that of boys'; compared with mother and companions,children tended to hide their real angry emotion when facing with the examiners; children's congnitive of using angry display rules strategy mostly was naturalization, following with which was weakeness,masking and exaggerating.2.With the growing of ages,children's congnitive ability of happy display rules gradually improved; there was no significant gender difference in children's congnitive development of happy display rules; there was no significant interpersonal relation difference in children's congnitive development of happy display rules; children's congnitive of using angry display rules strategy mostly was weakeness,following with which was naturalization,masking and exaggerating.3.With the growing of ages,children's using ability of angry display rules gradually improved; there was no significant gender difference in children's using ability of angry display rules;children's using of angry display rules strategy mostly was naturalization,following with which was weakeness, exaggerating and masking.4.With the growth of ages, children's using ability of happy display rules gradually improved;there was no significant gender difference in children's using ability of happy display rules;children's using of happy display rules strategy mostly was weakeness, following with which was exaggerating,natrualization and masking.5. Children's congnitive ability of angry display rules developed better than that of happy display rules, and there was significant interaction with gender and age;Children's using ability of happy display rules developed better than that of angry display rules, and there was no significant interaction with gender and age;6.In angry and happy emotion type,there was no significant correlation between the congnitive ability and the using ability of display rules; no matter how old the children were,no matter boys or girls,there were no significant correlations between the congnitive ability and the using ability of display rules.
