The Subjectivity And Subjectivisation Research Of Chinese Referral Pronoun "Ren Jia"

Chinese referral pronoun system plays an important role in Chinese personal pronounsystem.“ren jia”, as one of the referral pronouns, has a plenty of meanings, which is morecommonly used in modern spoken Chinese. Previously many scholars did research on “renjia” from the perspective of exploration of its function, but its subjective meaning was rarelydiscussed. While in reality verbal communication, the usage of “ren jia” often expressesspeaker’s subjective emotion. What’s more, the evolution of “ren jia” is frequently affectedby human’s subjectivity. Therefore, the research on the subjective and subjectivity of “renjia” can help us fully explore the subjective and subjectivity the development of Chinesereferral pronouns.This paper, on the basis of previous research, fully explores the subjective andsubjectivity of Chinese referral pronoun “ren jia” from the perspectives of diachronic,synchronic and the interaction between them to have a fully understanding. Firstly, from thediachronic point of view, the author elaborates and sums up the process of thegrammaticalization of “ren jia”, and analyzes the process on the basis of “cline” theory. Inaddition, the author explains the reasons of its diachronic change from the subjectiveperspective. Moreover, the author also researches the degree of subjectivity of “ren jia”,compares the degree of subjectivity among its ten semantic meanings, and gets the diagram ofthe degree of the subjectivity of “ren jia”, which can contributes a lot to Chinese teaching.Secondly, from the synchronic point of view, on the basis of category theory and “familyresemblance” theory, the author mainly discusses what kind of structure or form speaker usesto express subjectivity, and also establishes the diagram of Chinese personal pronouns systemin order to analyze the subjective and subjectivity issues of Chinese referral pronoun “ren jia”.At last, from the interaction of diachronic and synchronic point of view, on the basis ofperspective theory, empathy theory and knowledge theory, the author will give a systematicdescription of “ren jia”. Through the analysis, important conclusions can be obtained, whichcan give us a comprehensive study of the subjective and subjectivity of the Chinese referralpronoun “ren jia”.In summary, the research of Chinese referral pronoun “ren jia, a pronoun with a highextent of subjectivity, is a very interesting topic. During the process, the author finds a lot ofpronouns with subjectivity, which mainly appears in personal pronouns. In addition, pronounwhich can express subjectivity is called “Appraisal Pronoun”. These pronouns are newmembers of Chinese pronouns. With the mature and development of the theories of“subjective” and “subjectivity”, the author believes that on the basis of these theories, further progress will be made on the research of Chinese pronoun. Therefore, the author will go ondoing further exploration on this topic to have more findings.
