As one of the most successful dramatists in the19th century Germany.Wagner’s workswere sought after by the social at that time and showed vigorous vitality and incrediblerepresentative.A good writer often tends to feel different life meaning through others’experience so that casts an article monument.Wagner’s bumpy experience in love makes himconclude a particular definition; ideal world and real world’s gap makes him deeplyunderstand all aspects of power; he thinks money lead human to tend to evil. All of his worksespecially Der Ring Des Nibelungen reveals his infinite desire of freedom and purity, on thecontrary reveals his desperation from alienated gold coin society.Der Ring Des Nibelungen is recognized as the most mature to reflect Wagner’s idea ofdrama. It pioneered the formation of leitmotif. It based on the myth, to show a dispute ofmoney, love, power as the center of the ring. This thesis is divided into three parts to analyzethe Wagner’s leading viewpoints. The first part begins with the symbolic significance, toanalyze value of money between modern society and Wagner’s artistic thought. The secondpart will analyze the different moral when love meets the money. The third part will illustratethe political mode that establish on the foundation of the money. This thesis try to express theidea of money, love, politics from Wagner’s masterpiece Der Ring Des Nibelungen in order toprobe the epochal meaning of Wagner’s artic idea.
