The musical "the ring of Nibelungen"(hereinafter referred to as "the ring")was created by German composer Richard Wagner in the romantic period in 1848.The play consists of four plays:Rhine’s gold, nvwushen,Siegfried and the evening of the gods. The ring is not only a work of music and art,but also a microcosm reflecting the reality of European capitalist society at that time.In this paper, the political disputes and social changes reflected in the content of the play will be based on the posture of music performance. In the 21st century, with the proposal of embodied cognitive science, posture research began to be included in the research category of cognitive psychology experts. The experimental research of embodied cognitive psychology shows that there is a close relationship between human cognition and body. Then this theory is widely respected in the practice of artistic performance.Using the theory of musical performance posture, the research on the male character wattan in Wagner’s musical play the ring will be discussed from three parts in a total point structure:The first chapter summarizes the composition of music performance posture, and divides music performance posture into body posture research and sound posture research according to the research direction. In the second chapter, wattan’s body posture research will deepen the character image and interpret Wagner’s political position by observing the performers’ limbs and expressions. The third chapter, wattan’s sound attitude research, analyzes and studies the music attitude transmitted by the performer(singer)through the performance(singing)of the music noumenon from two aspects of instrumental sound and vocal sound, and further reveals Wagner’s music thought and philosophy.Using the theory of musical performance posture to study the male rolewattan in the musical drama the ring not only enriches the research results of the ring, but also opens a new perspective for the study of musical genre and even opera genre, which is of great significance to the development of music performance.
