Research On Interactive Design Of City Sculpture

With the development of life, urban sculptures have come into every space, squares and communities. Public environment and urban sculpture are more life-style and artistic during the period of development. However, urban sculpture has ’lonely’ problem which make urban sculpture has obstacles of communicating with public and can’t realize effective interaction with public. The existing way of urban sculpture is being developed through the urban space, but the value of urban sculpture needs to make conversation with the public and through interaction can achieve realization and extendability. It brings difficulties and challenges for urban sculpture; meanwhile it presents new optic angle and introspection.Thesis will centres on ’urban sculpture and public’s interaction’. For some of the major problem in the interaction, it will develop the multi-angle analysis in depth. After the investigation and analysis of the ’lonely’ problems and phenomena in the current urban sculpture in the field, Ⅰ found the reason of the city sculptures and public’s distance was the creaters’ regardless for the public’s aesthetic requirements and aesthetic interest, ignoring the balance between the artistic quality and aesthetic acceptance. It creates the ’highbrow’ or ’crudely’ situation, leading to most people appreciate and understand many current urban sculpture difficultly, much less the interaction and dialogue with sculpture. In addition, the part of the current sculpture’s interaction with the public appears’all tastes’ or ’chief culture’; it also can produce certain influence to the interactive effect with constraints. Have produced such a contradiction, it’s because that there’s no combination in writing the specific cultural environment to develop the appropriate form of city sculptures. It seems that solving these difficult type problems are not irreconcilable.If according to the form and function of urban sculpture from the public’s aesthetic demand, making art lifestyle, and on the basis of unique and specific environment ’taste’ to ’tailor’, creating humanized designs that fit in the local public, aesthetic, cultural taste and with ’interpretation’art form can reduce the distance of city sculpture with the public and realize the possibility of interaction between urban sculpture and public.By analyzing and solving behavioral interaction and emotional interaction which produced during the interaction, thesis also from designing sculpture ’forms, materials, colors, handicrafts and integration of modern science and technology and the expansion of the media, study the rich diversity of form which urban sculpture shows, and discuss how to strengthen the possibility of better interactivity. Through the layers of progress, we can find the effective method of opening the interactive space of city sculpture and the public.
