Ecolingusitics (EL) is also called ecology of language. It is a language research field which combines ecology and linguistics. Ecolinguistics points out that language research should not only attach attention to its stable forms, but also to its birth development and death, which is accordant with those of species. Ecological factors must be taken into consideration when studying languages since the language is similar to species undergoing the process of birth, growth and development. The ecological factors that affect language are mainly language ecology, competition and selection, hybridization and parasitism. Further more, language ecology includes language evolution, language environment and endangered language. This paper intends to analyze Singapore English creolization phenomenon from these ecological factors.Qualitative research method is the main method. More specifically, it is the combination of document analysis and case analysis to analyze the feature of Singapore English, as well as the ecological factors that affect Singapore English. Singapore English has striking differences from Standard English no matter in grammar, lexicon or pronunciation. In order to better analyze Singapore English creolization phenomenon, the paper will combine the theory and practice, and compare creolization from sociolinguistic and ecolinguistics perspective to reveal the similarities, differences and outstand the uniqueness of Singapore creolization from the perspective of ecolinguistics, which is one of the light spots of the paper. This study explains Singapore English creolization from a different theory basis, and promotes the theory and practice mutually.
