Personality psychology is a habit of the people in their daily lives, the acting style, themindset of a general term, it is also composed of a part of the personality, able to reflect thecolor preferences of people with psychological color reflects. From a psychological point ofview to study the relevance and the different personalities of the character and color of thetendencies and adjust the color selection preferences, in order to make the design do fine, andthe design of a detailed analysis, from fashion design color, environment art design color,product design, color theory, and combined with a lot of examples to study the link betweenpersonality differences and color from a different point of view of the character.First, from the point of view of the general psychology to analyze the basic concepts ofthe character, and as proceed from the character of the division, explore the personalitycharacteristics of each to analyze the factors affecting the formation of character.Secondly, the article on the relevance of the character and color were investigated andanalyzed. In warm and cold, the purity of the color preferences of different personalities,fieldwork awakened four personality monochrome color preferences, preferences, threemonochrome, color matching research. Andfrom the consumer’s personality as a starting point to design and adjust the garment and theproduct color, so that consumers can not only choose goods blindly. In contrast, color also hasinfluence character by environment effects on and influence the formation of character. In thisstudy, taking this as the starting point to study the four personality types are suitable for color,bring it into art and design of concrete.Thesis blending merger of the two disciplines of color psychology and personalitypsychology find the entry point of the character of the crowd summed up the four personality,rational design of targeted color.
