Since the reform and opening-up of China, great changes have taken place in the ideology of Chinese people along with the enhance of the level of their lives and the speeding of globalization. The increase of transnational wedding pairs is a vivid example. But the hosts for the transnational wedding ceremonies are actually not qualified enough, which seriously affect the quality of them.Based on the dynamic equivalence theory, the paper makes an in-depth research on that problem, referring to many documents and practices. It comes to the conclusion that there exists a huge difference between bi-lingual wedding hosts and common interpreters. Besides the interpretation skill, a bi-lingual wedding host should also be equipped with the capability to host. The great gap between English and Chinese cultures and languages brings difficulties and challenges to the host. By analyzing the interpretations of some examples of transnational wedding ceremony through literal translation, free translation and explanation, the paper tries to provide a solution. It also gives an answer to the problem of numerous misinterpretations in a ceremony. The dynamic equivalence theory is of theoretical use while the vivid examples are of great practical use to the interpretation of transnational wedding ceremony. They will help improve the quality of the hosts and make them more aware of their roles and responsibilities.
