Research On The Embodiment Of Spanish Folk Music Elements And Playing Skill In Albeniz’s Iberia

The study objective of the thesis is the piano suite, Iberia, composed by Isaac Albeniz, an outstanding Spanish pianist, composer and one of the founders of Spanish ethnic music genre. The thesis firstly summarizes the overall characteristic of Iberia; the focuses on the expression of folk music elements in the works through the analysis of the theme materials and tonal characteristics, the application of the folk song and dance musical form the melody composition, the organizational characteristics of rhythm, the simulation and performance of folk instruments, guitar and acoustics, etc.; and analyzes the playing skill from the perspective of piano teaching and playing, so as to make listeners to appreciate the unique folk music culture in the classic music works and be inspired in their piano playing.
