Chiyig Yeh is a famous overseas Chinese poetry scientists In contemporary,she write a lot of classical poetry thesis and made a wide influence, people praisethe book she write named Wang Guowei and his literary criticism is "a master ofliterary criticism of Wang Guowei." In this thesis, we study Wang Guowei andhis literary criticism, discuss the practice and poetic theory of it. Designed tohighlight the academic value of Chiyig Yeh poetic theory and made tremendouscontribution for development of classical poetry on the Chinese research.This thesis is divided into four chapters. The preamble is discussed thepublishing and writing process of Chiyig Yeh ’ book which named Wang Guoweiand his literary criticism, seeks to clarify the status and significance of it. Thefirst chapter is the summarized and analyzed about this book’s first part, andinvestigate the use of social and historical criticism. The second chapter isexpand the Wang Guowei ’ early literary criticism and reflection, discuss theview Chiyig Yeh talk about that the development of Chinese literary theorycannot live without the contemplation of the Western Literature. The thirdchapter based on Chiyig Yeh ’ examination about the book Jen-Chien TZ’u-hua,explore the important literary criticism views and theories of it. The last chapterbased on the research about the book Wang Guowei and his literary criticism,summarize Chiyig Yeh ’ poetic theory and criticism characteristics, as well as thecontribution she made for Chinese poetry and criticism.
