The Cultural Studies On Literatures And Arts Activities In Urban Square Nowadays

As the most indispensable part of space in people’s daily lives, urban square carriesall sorts of literary and artistic activities in our everyday life. When urban square suffersthe influences from the vagaries of everyday life, urban square also affects people’slife.Under the background of theory of literature and art,this paper tries to discuss thecultural attibute of literatures and arts activities in urban squares nowadays, and takesJishou City as an object. Jishou is located in the western parts of Hunan province andthe center of Xiangxi autonomous region, which is a typical place that minority nationslive together. The influences which suffer from such factors as different social historyand geographical enviroment make the square literatures and arts activities of Jishoupresent its own characteristics which can not be copied. According to the differencesbetween the main organizers, the author divides the whole literatures and arts activitiesof urban squares into two parts: one is organized by citizens spontaneously and the otheris organized by government, and explains these two types play very different roles inpeople’s daily lives. The features of the first type mainly play the key roles inleisure,fitness and intercourse. By contrast,politics,economy and indoctrination are atthe heart of the features of the second one. At last, through above analysis which usestheory method combined with examples,the author introduces the theory research intoan instance of the analysis on literatures and arts activities in urban squaresnowadays,and explores their aesthetic representations from three aspects that is themulti-culture blend,the aestheticization of everyday life and the landscape presentation.The multi-culture blend largely reflects mutual confrontation,mutual repulsion,mutualaffinity and mutual fusion between regional culture and foreign culture,traditionalculture and modern culture,official culture and folk culture.In consumer society,as oneof the basic mental life, the literatures and arts activities in urban squares become thatpeople need. So the popularization of aesthetic object gradually has entered people’s life.It not only brought a carnival in our daily life,but also extended the aesthetic space andenriched the aesthetic contents. The unique place spirit in the activities,the liberation ofthe body and the stared active subjects make the literatures and arts activities in urbansquares itself exist as a kind of landscape, a kind of aesthetic. As a result, through theabove aesthetic representations,the paper reveals that the prosperity and development ofthe literatures and arts activities in urban squares is conducive to the heritage anddevelopment of traditional culture,to promote the awakening of individualconsciousness and human all-round development and to the harmony between humanand society, human and nature and among human being themselves.
