First of all, this paper summarizes the research situation of the “Book of Songs” and dividesit into two situations, including language dominant and graph dominant. The research of graphdominant uses the rules and encodings of graph to illustrate. It ignores the spoken nature of the“Book of Songs” and the relationship between language and graph. The research of languagedominant is based in the perspective of genetics. It restores the oral nature and illustrates the“Book of Songs” according to the rules and encodings of language. But there are alsoshortcomings. It fails to realize the impact of graph to language.The first part is divided into two chapters. The first chapter introduces the symbol field of the“Book of Songs”. It includes the three means of cultural memory and two cultural backgroundswhen the “Book of Songs” is generated. The former involves ceremony, music and graph. Thelatter consists of the oral culture and the emotional thinking. The oral culture is valued in thisperiod. People relay on visual language rather than text symbol. But then the Chinese characterhas also produced and spreads from the upper into the community. Thus the writing culture whichis valued means also impact on the oral culture. Human beings are at the emotional mindset phase.People think as they say and they also evoke the presence of the substance. With the impact of textas well as the popularity of text applications, people gradually realize the change from theemotional thinking to rational thinking.“Book of Songs” happens to be in such a transition period.The second chapter describes the text and spoken nature of the “Book of Songs”. The part isdiscussed from the dynamic and static angle. The former focuses on the generation process of the“Book of Songs”. It includes the editing process, history and poetry homology, the creativeprocess and the interactive influence of refined and popular culture. The latter explore the “Bookof Songs” from the static text. It comes to the conclusion that the “Book of Songs” is a mixtureand has the oral and written characteristics.The second part is divided into three parts. The first chapter describes the “mood” andlanguage. In the origin period, the “mood” appears in order to facilitate memory. The “mood” isnot the main meaning of the artist. The second chapter describes the “mood” and writing. Affectedby the motivation of graph and imagery thinking, the “mood” and the “emotion” produce therelationship of meaning. When the “Book of Songs” is written in text and come to life, thethinking of graph is also internalized into personal. In the creation the “mood and metaphor”confluence is produced. The third chapter introduces the “mood and metaphor” confluence. Afterthe “mood and metaphor” confluence, the “mood” becomes a similar symbol.
