Language learning anxiety as one of the affective variables has been paid much attention by researchers at home and abroad.Chinese learning anxiety is a general phenomenon among Chinese learners. How to reduce foreign students’Chinese learning anxiety, to improve the efficiency of Chinese learning is one of the focuses topic for Chinese learners and teachers.As one of the places,which attract most international students from the region of southeast Asia, the study on southeast Asian students’ Chinese learnning anxiety in Guangxi Autonomous Region is of magnificant important significance and application value. The study use Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLCAS) as the measuring tool. As respondents in the study,the southeast Asian students of some universities in guangxi are investigated in order to find out the whole situation and individual differences of the Chinese learning anxiety.Acording to the survey, in general, the southeast Asian students of some universities in guangxi are undergoing moderate degree of Chinese language learning anxiety anxiety. Unlike many predecessors’ research, students of the southeast Asian undergoing low level of communication apprehension,they tend to feel stronger anxiety when they meet the characteristic of Chinese language,negative evaluation and exams.In the aspect of individual differences,cognitive variables (including language learning experience and Chinese level),affective variables (including language learning motivation and Chinese character level of subjective evaluation) and other factors not belonged to the cognitive or emotional characteristics,(including age, gender and Chinese learning time) all have something to do with Chinese learning anxiety in certain degree.Chinese learning anxiety is exist objectively, but it’s not unconquerable.With the overall condition and individual differences of southeast Asian students analyzed,we put forward the corresponding suggestions for teaching,learning and management.
