Song Yiwang was not a celebrity, but he was a poet who had multiple identities,such as schloar and government official. He was praised highly by many famous poetswho lived in the same period with him.He had lived in Ming dynasty from Zhengde toWanli period and experienced three ups and downs in his political career. Up to now,studies on Song Yiwang, including the studies of basic documentation and the literarycreation haven’t been done by anyone. There are a lot more to reasearch particularlyon anthology arrangement and biography of him. This paper relates to the collation ofSong Yiwang’s poems and the textual research on he his life experience, on basis ofwhich it futrther studies his collected works as well as the creation background,contents and features of his poems.This paper includes two parts. The first part expounds Song Yiwang’s collectedpoems and life experience. Chapter One concerns the textual research on the clan andlifetime of Song Yiwang and makes a chronicle of his life according to correlativehistorical material and biographical sketch. Chapter Two is about the editions of SongYiwang’s works and the background of his poems’ creation. Chapter Three analyzeshis poems’ content and features that are based on the social background. The secondpart refers to the collation and annotation of Song Yiwang’s poems. This part, beingbased on Hua Yang Guan Collected Poems that photocopied the edition of Wanlipublished by Wei Xueli in the Si Ku Quan Shu, collates and annotates Song Yiwang’spoems with Hua Yang Collected Works which was published by NeutralizationBuilding of Mr. Song in Daoguan peirod of Qing dynasty.
