In recent decades, the study and attention of the interaction relationship betweenemotion and cognition have been sustained, different experimental paradigms are beused in the studies. The studies are carried on the different kinds of patients withanxiety disorder, and draw some mutual support conclusions on the anxietydisorder.Mainly, the achievements of attentional bias have focused on anxietydisorder. The studies of individual anxiety attentional bias focus on college students, formerly, rare studies with soldiers. So this experiment on the military frontier soldiersis aimed at a preliminary understanding of their psychological cognition attentional biasand their degree of current anxiety.Through the experiment,it can be clear thatindividuals with high trait anxiety can be affected in some degree when facing differentmental stresses, and characteristics, mechanism and differences of attentional bias inthe case of ordinary state, pressure and relaxing state can be mainly learned aboutfrontier soldiers with high trait anxiety.203frontier soldiers in a border army are used on the experiment. First, subjects finish State Trait Anxiety Inventory (S-TAI) and Depression Self-rating Scale(SDS) by the numerical order,. Second, all the subjects participate in task inExperiment One. The experimental materials are the neutral and positive, negativeemotional words. The third after30-minute rest. According to the numerical order ofExperiment One, subjects are randomly divided into two groups, respectively, in figureadding (pressure) and relaxing state (no pressure) to complete the dot probe task ofemotional words in Experiment Two.This study shows that frontier soldiers with high or low trait anxiety showdifferences in reaction when facing threatening information in normal, relaxing andpressure state. As for frontier soldiers with high trait anxiety, the reaction time ofnegative, positive emotion words is significantly longer than the neutral words undernormal state, reflecting difficulty in disengaging from the emotional stimulus.Under the pressure state, the reaction time of negative emotional words is longer thanthe neutral words, and shorter than the reaction time of emotional words when underrelaxed state, reflecting significantly experimental threat effect and attentionalvigilance of threatening information. Under relaxing state, the reaction time of neutraland positive, negative emotional words has no differences. This experiment has got the following conclusions.Mechanism of attentionalbias of frontier soldiers with high trait anxiety is attentional difficulty in relief in normalstate, but in the case of pressure, the mechanism of attentional bias is attentionalalertness, the attentional bias does not produce at relaxing state. With the surroundingschange and the emotion ups and downs, the attentional bias changes.
