The Influence Of Trait Anxiety On Negative Information Attentional Bias In Adolescents

According to data released by the mental health center of the Chinese center for disease control and prevention,the incidence of mental illness among Chinese teenagers and adults aged 15 and above is on the rise year by year,with anxiety disorders accounting for the majority.Teenagers in our country face the academic,interpersonal relationship,family relationship stress,anxiety has become one of the main reasons for adolescent mental health threat,a large number of studies have shown that trait anxiety have attention bias of negative information,while at the same time attention to negative information bias and maintain attention is considered to be produce and maintain one of the main causes of anxiety.The purpose of this study was to examine whether trait anxiety has an effect on the attention bias of negative information in adolescents,and whether the internal mechanism of this effect,namely cognitive style and introversion,plays any role in the process of trait anxiety's influence on the attention bias of negative information.In this study,high school students were taken as subjects,and the experimental method and questionnaire method were used to conduct the research.The point detection model was used to measure the attentional bias,the EPR scale was used to measure the introversion,the STAI scale was used to measure the trait anxiety,and the Mosaic pattern test was used to measure the cognitive style.The experimental results are as follows:(1)In the point detection experiment,there was a significant interaction between the position of the detection point and the level of trait anxiety,and the negative information and the response of the detection point on the same side in the high trait anxiety group were smaller than that on the opposite side,while there was no difference in the low trait anxiety group.(2)In the test of the adjustment effect of introversion and introversion on trait anxiety and negative information attentional bias,the interaction term was significant,and the correlation between trait anxiety and negative information attentional bias was significant in low extroversion,but not in high extroversion.(3)The cognitive style of trait anxiety and negative information note to the mediation effect of inspection bootstrap95 % confidence interval in the upper and lower are not contain 0,into the trait anxiety before and after the intermediary variable of negative information attention bias effects are significant,and the relationship between trait anxiety and cognitive style,cognitive style and attention to the relationship between negative information were negative correlation.Through the analysis of the experimental results,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Trait anxiety in high school students will affect their attention to negative information,and people with high trait anxiety are more likely to notice negative information than those with low trait anxiety.(2)Introversion and introversion play a moderating role in the influence of trait anxiety on the attention bias of negative information.That is,for extroverted individuals,the relationship between trait anxiety and the attention bias of negative information is not significant,while for introverted individuals,the higher the trait anxiety is,the more serious the attention bias of negative information is.(3)Cognitive style plays an intermediary role in the process of trait anxiety's influence on the attention bias of negative information,that is,individuals' high trait anxiety makes their cognitive style tend to be field-dependent,which leads to more serious attention bias of negative information.
