Given the fact thatcurrent scope of “revolution plus love” research is ambiguous, I make a clear definition of theconcept and scope of “revolution plus love” novels. In view of the research deficiency on“revolution plus love” novels’ influences on later novels’ development, I put forward thepurpose of the paper.Chapter One:“Revolution plus love” novels in early Proletarian Literature are theresearch object in this chapter. This section first discusses the reason why the novel of"revolution plus love” became popular by analyzing three aspects--themes of the art work, writers’ points of view, and readers’ appreciation. Although the ideal of authors’ preset is that“revolution" overwhelms “love”, the truth is “love” suppresses “revolution” in the process ofindividual creation into the collective creation. Additionally, this chapter focuses on differentfemale body writings between male and female writers, illustrating how gender politics andbody writing subvert the concept of revolutionary presuppose.Chapter Two: The purpose of the section is to exam the novel of “revolution plus love” in liberated areas literature, highlighting its important role in connectingthe preceding and the following. This part also demonstrates the fact that liberated areasliterature inherits and develops “revolution plus love” novels in early Proletarian Literaturethrough three ways---the continuation of narrative strategy, the innovation of a novel type, andthe reverse of the position between “revolution” and “love”. Third, based on folk narrative, anew literature form, the chapter explores how revolution and love’ s novel in liberated areasliterature extends and departs from “May4th” enlightenment theories.Chapter Three: The chapter aims to explore the relationship between “revolution” and“love” in “seventeen years” literature. I emphasize the homogeneity between “seventeenyears” literature and liberated area literature, show how “seventeen years” literature inheritsand enhances liberated areas literature when dealing with the relationship between"revolution" and “love”, and highlight its two-way development. By comparing loftyrevolutionary belief and lost personal love, no desire of revolutionary hero and lascivious evilenemies, the section illustrates the extrusion of revolutionary narrative to love narrative. Finally, through the unique perspective of the protection of women’s subjectivity, objectivityeffect, and the fracture of subjective intention, this chapter shows the way how love narrativeskillfully arrogate revolutionary narrative. Conclusion: Based on discussing revolution and love’s restatement and disappearance, this paper demonstrates the author’s insights on current situation.
