Study On The Great Families Of Li People

Li People is indigenous minorities in our country,living in Lingnan region’s, andit has already disappeared over one thousand years.Historians tried to restore thesocial appearance of Li People. Because it has gone through a long time, the recordsof Li People in historical material is few, so that the progress of study on Li Peoplehas been slow. Being based on previous studies of Li People, the author will try tofurther dig into the society of Li People, and discuss the great families of Li People,which is aimed at further recovering the original visage of Li People. The concept of"great families of Li People " was put forward in the paper. What’s more, the origin,historical activities and effects of the great families of Li People have also beenanalyzed and discussed in this thesis.In this paper, the first chapter mainly summarizes basing on the predecessors’research on Li People, and further observes and studies the nomen,distribution of LiPeople to try to get a more specific social appearance of Li People. The secondchapter discusses the rise and fall of Baiyue ethnic group living before the SouthernDynasties to Tang Dynasties. The third chapter studies the class of "the great familiesof Li People", and points out that because of its strong military power and the highercultural quality, the great families of Li People became a superpower.Because of itsown development and relatively loose external political environment, the greatfamilies of Li People had play an important role in the history of the SouthernDynasties. The final conclusion points out that the great families of Li People was theresult of the own development of the southern minority people, had an importantinfluence in the history of the Southern Dynasties to Tang Dynasties, and eventuallyled Li People to the path of national fusion and development.
