"The Great Learning" was originally an article in the "Book of Rites".Zhu Xiselected it from the "Book of Rites" with the "Doctrine of Mean",the "Analects of Confucius" and "Meng Zi" and called the "Four Books".Besides,he summed up the main contents of "the Great Learning" with the "three programs" and "eight items",which had a great influence on the later generations.The "three programs" means clearly being virtuous,loving the people and arriving at supreme goodness."Eight entries" are things,knowledge,sincerity,sincerity,self-cultivation,family equality,governing the country,and leveling the world.In this paper,the spirit of "the Great Learning" is reduced to "repairing oneself and settling people".On the basis of exploring and studying the internal theory to grasp its academic connotation,the paper deepens the understanding of "the way of the Great Learning" and understands the spirit and realm of "repairing oneself and settling people" of "the Great Learning"."Cultivating oneself and settling people" is the spirit of "the Great Learning" and is closely related to Confucius' s thought.In fact,"the Great Learning" is about the relationship between morality and industry.From the perspective of education,"the Great Learning" is teaching people to "repairing oneself and settling people" to achieve gentleman's "morality and industry" [Wang Fuzhi's words: "the predicate of the Great Learning,so teach people to repair people and become adults." "Repairing oneself to govern people" contains certain political color.From the perspective of education,it is "repairing oneself and settling people".]."The way of the Great Learning" is also a way for gentlemen to achievement of morality and industry.The key to achievement of morality and industry is to "repairing oneself and settling people".The spiritual source of "repair oneself and settle people" of "the Great Learning" is associated with the "Analects of Confucius" "Zi Lu asked gentleman" chapter [Analects of Confucius] constitutional questions: Zi Lu asked gentlemen.Zi said: "to repair oneself to respect."
