International students studying in China, injects fresh blood for the highereducation in our country. However, because of the existing difference in the behavior,values, thinking mode, etc, there exists cross cultural adaptation problems in dailystudying and living. This paper studies influencing factors on cross cultural adaptation,by combining quantitative and qualitative methods, investigates and analysisinternational students’ psychological characteristics, emotional life, social activitiesand other aspects in Hebei University in China. The paper summarized the commonaspects and reasons of students’ intercultural adaptation, and accordingly puts forwardconstructive suggestions on the management of Hebei University students in china.The focus of this paper is:1. The main problems and influence factors of cultural adaptation, studyingadaptation, life adaptation and psychological adaptation.2. This study summarized the different points of cross cultural adaptation in termsof different countries and regions, by surveyed information of overseas students’ fromEurope and United States, Japan and South Korea, Southeast Asia.3. Living environment, social and cultural background has what kind of differentimpacts on international students’ intercultural adaptation.The conclusion of the study is as follows:1. The study result of the main problems and influence factors of cultural adaptation,studying adaptation, life adaptation and psychological adaptation.2. Students’ national area has great influence on cross cultural adaptation.3. The higher similarity between the living environment and cultural background,the more help to the students’ intercultural adaptation.
