As we know, to build relationships with others is an essential part of theindividual in society life. As an important part of psychological harmony,interpersonal harmony has a protective effect on mental health. In this study, wemeasured the frame and developmental characteristic of adolescents’ interpersonalharmony by Interpersonal Harmony Questionnaire (IHQ) which adoptingself-designed. Then explored the relationship among interpersonal harmony, socialsupport and resilience in adolescents in Guangdong province, and investigated theeffect and path structure of social support between interpersonal harmony andresilience. Eligible subjects were rated as the high self-discrepancies (n=30) and thelow self-discrepancies (n=30) from1003students. Each group of subjects wasrequired to react to ambiguous social information and the words of self-perceivedcoping capability, aimed at investigate the mechanism of interpersonal harmony toresilience.The conclusion were as follows:(1) The adolescences’ interpersonal harmony include harmonious with peer,harmonious with families, harmonious with school and harmonious with society.According to the theory and Exploratory Factor Analysis results, The IHQ is dividedinto four sub-questionnaires. The results of Reliability Analysis and ConfirmatoryFactor Analysis showed that IHQ has good reliability and validity, and then it can beused as a research tool for measuring adolescents’interpersonal harmony.(2) IHQ is administered to measuring the development characteristics ofinterpersonal harmony of middle school students, results showed that interpersonalharmony of the youth is at advantage, Adolescents in the highest score on thedimension is the harmonious with families, followed by harmonious with peer,harmonious with society, and harmonious with school.(3)The youth’s interpersonal harmony development had significant difference ingrade, gender and area. The single-child group had no significantly differences with the non-single-child of family in the levels of interpersonal harmony.(4) The youth interpersonal harmony, social support and resilience haveextremely significant correlation, and youth interpersonal harmony, social support hadan remarkable prediction function to resilience. Social support had an intermediaryrole between the youth interpersonal harmony and resilience.(5) Results of experiment1showed that relative to high interpersonal harmonygroup, individuals in low interpersonal harmony had negative interpretive bias inambiguous social information(6) Results of experiment2showed that relative to low interpersonal harmonygroup, individuals in high interpersonal harmony was significantly faster response tothe words of self and positive. There is positive interpretation of implicitself-perceived coping capability in high interpersonal harmony group.
