Jing Lv Yi Xiang is a Buddhist-theme book and a collection ofBuddhist-relating stories extracted from Buddhist biblical Tripitaka and was edited inthe principle of Buddhist retribution relations with22themes, including heaven,earth, Buddha, Zhuishi, Buddha, monks, Bodhisattva and kings. This book includedall the stories in Buddhist Scriptures which were translated into Chinese andintroduced to China as early as sixth century, from which the basic overview ofBuddhism can be seen.The Buddhist stories in Jing Lv Yi Xiang involve Buddhist teachings, practiceactivities and other aspect, from which this paper selects one aspect---causation andkarmic justice, the core idea of Buddhism. This paper takes this as a starting point toanalyze its impact on mythical stories during Six Dynasties.This paper first verifies the writing process and authors of Jing Lv Yi Xiang anddetails it from completion, reference materials, structure and main content. Then thispaper discusses where the idea of causation and karmic justice originated from theaspects of nature, type, law and psychology operating mechanism. At last, this paperborrows stories during Six Dynasties such as Ming Xiang Ji, Xuan Yan Ji and YouMing Lu, and analyzes them using Buddhist causation and karmic justice andconcludes how the Buddhist causation thoughts influenced the writing of mythicalstories during Six Dynasties.
