Self as context (SAC) also known as background me,or self-awareness of the background, it’s one of the core treatment factor of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT)been proposed by professor Hayes in1990s, the therapy uses the relation frame theory as theoretical basis, and Functional contextualism as philosophical foundation, its fundamental purpose is to improve people’s Psychological flexibility. Since ACT in foreign countries has been studied extensively, the self context has rarely. Self as context and mindfulness are both from Buddhist meditation. Around the1980s mindfulness has been bring into psychotherapy by Dr. Kabat-Zinn to form a series of therapies that used mindfulness as the core technology, and has a significant effect on depression, anxiety and other psychological problems. We hypothesized that the self as context have the same effect as mindfulness techniques to improve psychological flexibilityand mood. This article consists of three researches.Acceptance and action questionnaire second edition (AAQ-Ⅱ) finished and surveied in a university in Beijing, results showed that questionnaire Cronbach’s a coefficient as0.897, with good reliability. Explorator and confirmatory factor analysis to prove the questionnaire as a single dimension and has good construct validity.In study two, has been for the SAC and mindfulness group recording, twice a week recording intervention with control group wait, study two methods in the short-term intervention effects. The results showed that the two groups compared with control group psychological flexibility were significantly improved,depression and anxiety did not change significantlyStudy three has SAC and mindfulness group recording a single intervention study its impact on the mental health of the measurement method, results show that a single recording has been for the SAC and mindfulness intervention can significantly improve psychological flexibility, alleviate depression and anxiety pressure to weaken the positive and negative emotions, and both the impact was no significant differenceBased on the above results can be drawn the acceptance and action questionnaire second edition has good reliability and validity in the domestic student population; the self as context basically has the same effect as mindfulness to improve psychological flexibility and emotional relief.
