In the contemporary China, teleplay is the most popular way for art consumption andpsychological diversion. It’s also one of the most important art production activities. Teleplayis far more than the image narrating text. It’s something related to the multi-fields in whichthe society and the viewers interact with each other tightly. The teleplay is an importantapproach for cultural meaning construction. As a social reality, Social ideological trendinevitably has profound impact on the production of art creation, including Chinese TV seriesas well as critical discourse of critics. It not only provides premise for the prosperity of TVdrama, but promote the emergence of a new trend of TV artistic creation constantly. TV notonly reflects the society’s collective consciousness and the mainstream value, but alsoconstitutes one of the intrinsic motivation of social change. Social ideological trend and therelationship between the series therefore become a very valuable topic.The research object of this paper is set for the Chinese TV drama criticism under theinfluence of contemporary social trend. This thesis carries on the rational analysis for ChineseTV criticisms using the theory of “criticism of the judge” for the first time. This thesis putsthe Chinese TV criticism in the context of social and historical changes appearing since thenew period of reform and opening under the background of the evolution of contemporarysocial trend. It carries out a series of close reading of the articles on different TV criticisms,using the elegant famous artists in the history of criticism of Chinese TV series material as asample, using the Chinese TV series theme types to divide standards, trying to find a path forboth of them echo under the law to follow in the mix of criticism of social ideological trendand subject matter.This thesis includes six charters as following:The introduction elaborates the meaning and significance of the chosen topic, defines theconnotation and denotation of the studying object, and illuminates the main theoretic basisand dissertation frame.The first chapter combs evolution of social thoughts in contemporary China from thehistorical dimension and describes the nature of consciousness and characteristics, combinedwith the actual analysis of different development stages of history.The2nd chapter discusses the Chinese teleplay criticism of the subject construction fromthe content aspect. This chapter divides the content of the Chinese TV Drama criticism intothree stages: beginning, development, and diversification. By doing this, it summarizes agecharacteristics of various development stages, providing theoretical background for the laterexposition object.This chapter studies the historical perspective on the evolution of contemporary socialthought of this paper, the development of Chinese TV criticism history from a diachronicperspective, and summarizes the characteristics of the times of different phases reflected, andprovide a theoretical basis on the background for the following discussion object.The fourth chapter sums up the research paradigm shift of Chinese TV drama criticism through the analysis of a chapter on social thought. I mainly study from three researchdimensions: western Linguistic Turn, from the research of ontology to the text analysis, fromthe text analysis to the cultural.The fifth chapter, through the list of specific drama criticism case, the above research oncriticizing practice. Select the three most popular theme "historical drama","family ethicsdrama","military drama" as an example, three angle representation from the perspective ofculture, family ethics drama historical drama criticism contends, in popular culture thoughtunder the influence of the theory of humanitarianism in the new period, the military theme thecriticism is discussed.Through the analysis of Chinese TV drama genre criticism and the social ideologicaltrend relations, we may discover, the TV drama genre criticism in the Chinese present age canreflect the mainstream society ideological trend on its text. It grows in the elite culture and inthe mass culture linguistic environment, thus it could be influenced by each kind of socialideological trend. Moreover, Contemporary China’s TV drama genre criticism was producedsocial ideological trend, market, and politics. As a center of society, it has the importantunderstanding function. But currently Chinese TV drama criticism appear over concentrationin critic and criticism position, the relevant departments also need to pay attention to them.
