On The Moral Credibility Crisis And Its Solutions In China

Nowadays, the loss of moral faith has become ever more serious. The individualism thought makes people becoming so realistic and material that their holy and noble moral belief, the moral rules and values have been ignored or even abjured. To build a harmonious society is not only the need of historical development, but also the urgent demand to achieve China’s rejuvenation. With the change of the economic foundation, the relationship of interpersonal interest also transformed, so will the social culture, politics, and the moral beliefs.As our national economy soars with the help of the socialist market economic system, building a harmonious socialist society is imperative. A harmonious socialist society is an inevitable choice of historical development, a product of time progress, as well as a vital step towards national rejuvenation. A state of interdependency, mutual promotion is absolutely required in building such a society. The pursuit of moral values from all social members is indispensable to the harmonious society. The moral belief is not only about personal belief, but also about social trust. The stability of moral belief has a positive effect on forming a system of common values. So, the moral belief system should go together with the development of a socialist market economy.In this paper, the problems on the loss of moral belief are discussed on the basis of economic system transformation. I expound the solutions to these problems and its meaning for the construction of a harmonious society.
