As China has developed its foreign trade quickly, the international business negotiation is becoming more and more important. It has been a concern for business people to develop good negotiation skills.In this report, the author chooses a speech delivered by a foreign teacher from Wuhan Oriental School and simulates the live interpretation. The author makes a systematical analysis from the preparations of the speaker’s background and speech styles, the preparation of the audience, the collection of relative content, the interpretation process as well as the language expressions and information transmission during the interpretation. Also, the author summarizes the successes, such as the important role preparation has played in the interpretation, the summarization of speech content and techniques used in interpretation, as well as the unsuccessful aspects, such as misinterpretation and less rigorous logic relationships. Based on these analyses, the author summarizes the suggestions and puts forward some concrete measures to improve the interpretation quality. The author hopes this report will not only guides and promotes her future job of interpretation, but also provides study material and support for other interpreting lovers.
