The China-ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs "B&R" Economic and Trade Cooperation Activities from Sep.26 to 28,2018 was jointly held by the China Youth Entrepreneurs Association(CYEA),the Communist Youth League of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Fangchenggang Municipal People's Government. The Business Matching Conference on the morning of Sep.28 is a vital link of the Activities, containing several parts including opening addresses by Chinese and ASEAN representatives,a matching conference and concluding remarks by group members. The author was hired to interpret for the activities and completed the task. This report takes the Business Matching Conference as an example, analyzing the performance of the interpreter based on the paper and recording material. This report consists of five parts:task description,pre-interpreting preparation, case study, reflection, and feedback,as well as a conclusion at last, underlining the second and third parts. The pre-interpreting preparation is categorized into indirect(long-term)and direct(short-term)ones.In the chapter of case study, the author lists four situations:long and different sentence, obstacles of listening comprehension, interpreting without note and professional terms.Mainly guided by the interpretive theory and Gile's Effort Model, she reviews and analyzes interpreting strategies including addition, omission and de-verbalization applied in her cases, and discusses if there's anything we can learn or improve in the future task.By writing this report, the author has the following conclusions:1.indirect and direct preparations are of equal significance, and being well-prepared is half done;2.an interpreter should aim to bridge the gaps between the two sides, and choose different strategies according to different situations.
