Expound On The Relationship Between Metaphysical Poetry Of Wei Jin Dynasties And Landscape Description

This paper had two points: first, combing the theme of metaphysical poetry inthe development of Wei Jin Dynasties; second, investigation of the landscapedescription in metaphysical poetry and the importance of the role that the landscapedescription acted.This paper was divided into four chapters as follows:The first chapter discussed about the relationship between part poetry of JiKang, Ruan Ji, the West Jin Dynasties and the landscape description. Thisrelationship had three characteristics: first, the metaphysics and the landscapedescription integrated closely, but they were both the external form to express thepoet taboo political sustenance; second, in the metaphysical poetry of the earlyWest Jin Dynasty, landscape description and comprehend metaphysics associatedwith each other, they were both the important content of poetry; third, themetaphysical poetry in the late West Jin Dynasty, talking metaphysics became themain objective of poetry, landscape description was independent of metaphysics.That also indicated the formation of metaphysical poetry.The second chapter discussed about the relationship between metaphysicalpoetry of Guo Pu, Yu Chan in the early East Jin Dynasty and landscape description.The influence of landscape description on Yu Chan metaphysical poetry was moreobvious than the influence of landscape description on Guo Pu metaphysicalpoetry,but they all paied attention to the landscape description. The significance oflandscape description on Guo Pu, Yu Chan metaphysical poetry was that thelandscape had become the natural environment to comprehend metaphysics.The third chapter discussed about relationship between conversation poemsand Lan ting poems in the middle East Jin Dynasty and landscape description. Theywere the exploration of the direction of metaphysical poetry development. For theconversation poems, description of landscape and character were the main mode, understanding the personal metaphysics which was its aim; but for the Lantingpoems,the front landscape description and implicit theories of discourse were themajor expansion mode, the feeling of the natural world was the purpose.Conversation poems moved people by emotion, Lanting poems moved people bylandscape. They both had literariness. And they had made a boundary marker forthe prosperity of Jin and Song Dynasty landscape poems.The fourth chapter discussed about the relationship between Mount Lu poemsand Xie Hun, Zhan Fangsheng poems in the late East Jin Dynasty and landscapedescription. Relatively weak of the metaphysics and overall evolution of thelandscape description indicated that the landscape description would dominate inthe poetry field. Landscape aesthetic into the comprehensive poetry also indicatedthat the decline of metaphysical poetry and prosperity of landscape poetry hadbecome an inevitable trend.
