Inhibition control has been the focus of many researchers, inhibition controlcan not only explain the differences between individuals and the development andchanges, such as intelligence, attention, memory, and so on, it also involves thedevelopment of emotion regulation and social competence. There are a lot oftheories and models of inhibition control, various models attempt to explain themechanism of inhibition control, structure and function, in previous studies thediscussion on the impact factors of inhibition control is not common, and to explorethe impact factors of inhibition control in ERP tools are also rare, the only researchfocuses on exploring the relationship between emotion and inhibition control, aswell as the exploring of the relationship between cognitive processing andinhibition control, Through the literature search, the research of influence ofcognitive load to inhibition control is also rare. And the research using ERP tools toexplore the influence of cognitive load to inhibition control has not seen.This study selected two kinds of cognitive load: the working memory load andattention load, respectively, in behavioral experiments and ERP experiments up toinvestigate their influence of inhibition control, the method is through the levelschanging of two kinds of cognitive load. And explore the influence of inhibitioncontrol. This research selected the classic paradigm-GO/NOGO task.Experiments came to a conclusion in behavior experiments of attention load,First, the reaction time of inhibition control task of hard level attention load islonger than the reaction time of inhibition control task of easy level attention load.the reaction time of inhibition control task of hard level memory load is longer thanthe reaction time of inhibition control task of easy level memory load. Second, TheERP experiment came to a conclusion compared with behavior experiments. Inattention load experiments, GO stimulus’ latency of P3is significantly later thanGO stimulus’. In memory load experiments, GO stimulus’ latency of N2is significantly later than GO stimlus’. Third, in the peak value of N2, the peak valueof NOGO stimulus is higher than GO stimulus, and the peak value of the hardattention load is higher than the easy attention load, in the peak value of P3, thepeak value of NOGO stimulus is higher than GO stimulus, but the peak value of theeasy attentionFinally, these studies come to the conclusion of the impact of cognitive load toinhibition control. First, when adjust the attention load, different levels of attentionload has significantly difference impact on inhibition control, the hard levelattention load has significantly higher impact on inhibition control than easy levelattention load. Second, when adjust the memory load, different levels of memoryload has significantly difference impact on inhibition control, the hard levelmemory load has significantly higher impact on inhibition control than easy levelmemory load. Third, attention load task affects the inhibition control processespecially in the latter part of tinhibition control, and memory load task affects theinhibition control process especially in the early part of tinhibition control. Four,the working memory load and attention load inhibition control of cognitive load arethe influence factors of inhibition control.
