As one of the most innovative applications of e-commerce, online shopping has created a whole new market, and developed really fast in China. After ten years of rapid development, a few major B2C enterprises have been established, while online shops increased dramatically in numbers. The competitions between those shops become more and more intensified. It is important for a good product packaging design to increase the competitiveness of the online shop, improve customer satisfaction, and meet customer needs. Therefore, the packaging design of online shopping product has become one of the main study objects of e-commerce.This paper selects the largest online shopping sales in clothing and footwear category as the main object. Throng a detailed analysis of this object, I put forward some basic principles in package design, such as protection function and facilitate transport. What’s more, packaging versatility, commodity groups indicative symbols, and environmental requirements was special considered in this paper.In order to discuss and check the advantages of those principle and design ideas, we take Yimer fashion apparel as an example. It’s a full range of design for corporate LOGO, web graphic design and packaging boxes design, which has a certain reference value in the practical application of packaging design.
