The thesis holds that, on the perspective of tea culture, by the method of interdisciplinary research, it is rather important to reread Wang Xufeng’s novels in1990s and study her spontaneous writing standpoint of inosculation of tea culture and Jiangnan culture, which is significant for studies on Wang Xufeng’s novels, her works’enrichment and influence on tea culture, and Zhejiang literature and culture she concerns all the time. For Wang Xufeng, tea culture, a green boat with the cream of Chinese culture, is in rapport with her own dream and ideal. Thus her writing theme centres on the tea spirit, which roots in the history meanwhile contains modern values, shapes and influence Chinese. The key thread of Wang Xufeng’s The Trilogy of Tea Men is the high spirit of tea totem, the remold of Jiangnan Culture that combining vigor and suppleness, as well as the integration of tea spirit and Chinese national spirit. In her novels, Wang Xufeng profoundly depicts the redemptive power of tea spirit, which can pure the mind and cleanse the filth. Since the tea development history in the past one hundred years shares much comparability with the modern history of China, her shaping of three types of characters, namely the proprietors, revolutionaries and avengers, not only has a semiotic meaning, but also reveals the complex mentality and spiritual evolution of cultural personality represented by her. Such cultural personality, in the transformation of modern society, shows a nostalgic feeling towards tradition while keeps an eager eye on future. Her novels have the broad beauty of epic poem, the vivid beauty of custom and the multiple beauty of language.
