The Theme Of "Time" In The Contemporary Static Plastic Arts

"Time" plays a powerful role gradually in artistic creation, there many works of art all involved in "time" which related to various media and methods, especially in Contemporary visual art. There some of arts express "time" as a way of expression and language, others express "Time" as the object and content. Besides, static plastic arts started to focus on "time" this factor such as sculpture. This article will mainly focus on static plastic arts, through research existing way of "time" in visual art, discuss and analyze the cases of Hiroshi Sugimoto、On Kawara、Doris Salcedo and Cornelia Parker, it will trying to sort out the complicated relations between "time" and art. Furthermore, this paper also will mention the influence of "time" for me and how I was show "time" in my art practice.
