Presence And Absence

As the important parts of Chinese national culture, traditional opera andtraditional painting have a nature connection with art creation and aestheticcharacteristics. This paper is divided into two parts: the first part analyzes theaesthetic characteristics of the traditional art from the art form of the stage visualspace, make a deeply analysis to the word “empty”, and focus on the relationbetween “presence” and “absence” which is expressed by “empty” to carry out thedeep discussion. The second part explores the relation and transform of the Chineseopera and the painting, stress the importance of the “transform” in current Chinesepainting. It is also a way to get more “absence”. This paper aims to analyze the artform of “presence” and “absence”, to analyze aesthetic characteristics and art formfrom two different kinds of art: Chinese opera and painting.
