In present study,we empoyMSIT paradigm to test the impact of different arousal emotion on inhibitory control(IC).whichi is regulated by the task difficulty and individual differentThere are four experiments. They are all3(emotional, neutral, non-interference) x2(difficult, easy) factors within the design. The different arousal emotion includ low-arousal negative emotion,low-arousal positive emotion,high-arousal negative emotion,high-arousal positive emotion. The main rusults and conclusions obtainded are as follows:(1)The role of low-arousal negative emotion on IC is regulated by the task difficulty and sex differenty. For women, the low-arousal negative emotion impaired the performance on the more difficult incongruent trails and enhenced on the easy congruent trails. But for man,the effect is opposite. That is to say,the low-arousal negative emotion promoted the performance on the more difficult incongruent trails and hindered on the easy congruent trails.(2)The role of low-arousal positive emotion on IC is regulated by the task difficulty and sex differenty too.For man, there was not found any effect of emotion on IC at the first run,When it was the second run,the low-arousal positive emotion hindered the performance on the easy incongruent trails and promoted on the more difficult incongruent trails. For the women, there was null effect on the easy incongruent trails, but promoted n the more difficult incongruent trailsat the first run.and any emotion effect was found at the second run.(3)The impact of high-arousal negative emotion and high-arousal positive emotion on IC is not regulated by the task difficulty and sex differenty. The impact of high-arousal negative emotion and high-arousal positive emotion on IC is not regulated by the task difficulty and sex differenty. The high-rousal negative emotion impaired the process regardless the.sex and task difficulty. Whereas the high-rousal positive emotion impaired the easy incongruent trails and promoted on the more difficult incongruent trails.
