Field Study And Research On Laozi Dance In CangZhou City Of HeBei Province

Laozi Dance is the representative folk dance of HeBei Province. It is also the indispensable part of recreational activities in the spring festival since ancient time. However, with the development of our society and entertainment, challenges are putting forward with both dancer crisis and the resources shortage. Through the field study, this paper will place this dance phenomenon into an interactive system of macroscopic view. Use the Dance Ecology theory to analyze the core cognitive subject Laozi Dance with its Choreme and lexeme in order to explore this specific folk dance in its form and language in different periods of time with natural and social factors. This thesis also conveys the present situation in the protection of Laozi Dance.
