Local Folk Cultural Elite And The Revival Of Traditional Festivals And Refactoring

In the revival of traditional festivals, it is the key that how torefactory traditional festivals in the modern society, and who playsa dominant role in the process of constructing. In recent years, inthe background of the intangible cultural heritage protection, sometraditional festivals have been renaissance, and this article want toexplore the role of local folk elite in the process of the revival andreconstruction through Shanxi XiangNing YunQiu mountainsection. Local folk elite construct the YunQiu neutral festival, onthe basis of the local traditional temple fair. This paper presents theprocess of construction by three levels: construction of time andspace, construction of form and content, and discusses that localfolk elite play a role in the construction of the three aspects. Underthe participation of local folk elite, YunQiu neutral festival couldhave been Renaissance. The Renaissance inherited the tradition of the local traditional festival temple fair, and increased the contentof the modern commercial also. They will also blend characteristicculture among them. we can say that they create a with localcharacteristics and local cultural brand new holiday, so the modelof this revival is worth reference, but we also should avoid tochurn out.Research of this paper is based on the fieldwork, literaturematerials and information, at the same time using the depthinterview data and local Chronicles. Through local folk eliteparticipation reconstructing traditional temple fair to present theprocess of shifting traditional temple fair to counteract section, todiscusse how could the local folk elite reconstruct YunQiu neutralfestival in the process, as well as their dominant role inconstruction.
