The culture is the core element of the study of cultural anthropology. Taylor’s interpretation about the culture definition has important influence on exploring the specific connotation and elements of the culture. From his definition, we can find that the art is one of important parts of the culture. So, as one of branches of the art, the folk art forms should be important issues of the culture study. At the country’s first session conference about the non-material cultural heritage protection experience sharing, many scholars and experts discuss a series of problems, including the asymmetry between the innovation demand of the youth and the tradition ideas of the older,the contradiction between the theory and performance, and the consciousness of defending the local language and so on. And, they also put forward some measures about avoiding the cultural feast becoming into remaining dross. So, we can find the folk art forms have important influence on protecting the folk culture and non-material culture.The folk art forms experience a long period from anterior simple skill to technical art, their meanings, art models and composition are gradually confirmed. However, lots of problems are also appeared in the process of development. The analysis of the Gan Ban Qiang in the text is based on the correlational studies about the folk art forms. The dry plate cavity is one of folk art forms, it date from the folk songs, mainly distributed in the north slope of Hejin city of the south of Shanxi province. Because its simple and plain words, catchy rhythm, accessible content, Gan Ban Qiang has becoming a popular culture medium in celebrating festivals, advertising thought, popularizing ethics values. The deep analysis of the art form has important theoretical and practical significance. On theoretical aspect, firstly, it is one of folk art forms of Shanxi province, the analysis about its art characteristics add the content of the study of the folk art forms, especially the plate cavity class; Secondly, the text study the dry plate cavity using the anthropological theories, for example, interpretive anthropology, functionalism and so on, which is a good try from professional perspective studying the art form; Thirdly, the study of folk art forms is an important aspect of keeping the culture’s diversity, the induction about artistic forms and content is an inevitable requirement of inheriting folk art forms effectively. On practical aspect, firstly, Gan Ban Qiang expressing the ethic relations, emotional expression habits in artistic way in acquaintance society, which is a good reference in keeping relationship and standardizing social order; Secondly, the dialect of the north slope is the language carrier of Gan Ban Qiang, it is good for spreading folk language and culture, which can’t be matched by the mandarin;Thirdly, the innovation of Gan Ban Qiang is good for intergenerational communication and the cultural potential excavation. So, the text analyses Gan Ban Qiang specifically from its origin, artistic form and composition, symbols and function, a typical case, and so on.The chapter one of the text is mainly about the literature review of Gan Ban Qiang, discussing from the origin, identity class, artistic forms and composition, potential problems and measures. To speak of, Gan Ban Qiang is one of the folk art forms, so the study of the folk art forms should be important reference for it. The chapter two mainly discusses the distribution areas, artistic characteristic, the main representative figure and achievement, among which, the statement about the four cardinal principles is the most important part of clearing the artistic features of Gan Ban Qiang, it is also the important section of the text. The chapter three states from the classical works——The Mice Games of Yang Yulin, the process study of Gan Ban Qiang focus on tying package, unfolding package and shaking package, from which we summarize the symbols of vocal tract,eye, hand, tools of actors. The chapter four mainly analyzes the function transition during the process of development; The chapter five mainly discuss the transition of name, space, performer and audience, the diverse content and forms, problems during heritage, and so on.
