On The Aesthetic Thoughts Of The School Of The Warring-States Strategy

The last century,the school of the warring-states strategy as a new academic group boarded the stage of history. Two sponsors including,Mr Chen quan and Mr. Lin Tongji were both inspired by the view of German voluntarism aesthetics, combined the Chinese traditional culture with the national conditions at that time, thus they created a unique aesthetic ideas.As everyone knows, the German voluntarism aesthetics has two representatives, one was Schopenhauer, the other was Nietzsche. Schopenhauer accounted for around the concept of life, then he created his own survival-will-aesthetics. He thought, that people could borrow the art as a tool to avoid their own heart pain and hurt temporarily in real life, thus the could get an instant relief. Schopenhauer’s philosophy of will deeply influenced the philosophy of Nietzsche’s early view, once he said that Schopenhauer is his spiritual mentor. However, aesthetic ideology in favor of Schopenhauer’s pessimism did not stop Nietzsche developing his own optimism aesthetics. Their ideas were originated in the life will of the hypothesis, but it developed into two different aesthetics. Nietzsche knew and digested well about digestion the will and pain,thus made him choose the confrontation and transcendence of life. He took Schopenhauer’s pessimistic aesthetics as a starting point, using the ancient Greek tragedy spirit, then he created a Nietzschean optimism aesthetics (this optimism is also called the pessimism of Dionysus type).Liang Qichao as the earliest disseminator that brought Nietzsche’s idea into china, then made many estheticians Chinese begin to the research of the sights on Sino German culture. Chen and Lin were interested in studying Schopenhauer’s pessimistic aesthetics thought, but they also admitted Schopenhauer’s contribution to aesthetics. Compared about their ideas, Chen and Lin tended to believe that Nietzsche’s optimism aesthetics.The view of Schopenhauer and Nietzsche had a huge impact on the aesthetic thought of Chen Quan and Lin Tongji, the purpose of this paper is to discuss the two academics Zhanguo Ce Clique of Schopenhauer and Nietzsche, discussing how they affect the aesthetics of the School of the Zhanguo strategy view. At the beginning of the last century, China was under the baptism of war, people were looking forward to finding a way of salvation. Among them, the School of the warring-states strategy set up the nationalism.They stressed the importance of human creativity, and they objected to those restrictions which tied the geniuses. Their aesthetics was based on the criticism, and was built on the revaluation of all the current cultural value.In philosophy, ontology had been force was a kind of aesthetic inWestern culture.,and the concept of force was alwways a weak part in Chinese ideas. Chen Quan and Lin Tongji wanted to bring this kind of western aesthetics into China,and it perfectly match the connotation and extension of the nationalism that they respected.Nietzsche’s idea of the Superman inspired Chen Quan to form a new formation that can deeply rooted in China and that is called hero worship. He believed that the hero worship was purely a kind of aesthetic activity without any theoretical thinking which needed to inspire the bottom of the emotion in one’s heart. Only the development of the Chinese hero worship grew that can make the national consciousness more strongly. Hero worship can make people together, especially in the crisis in the country they become a rope to an unprecedented unity. Lin Tongji thought more academic, he devided the psychological effect of aesthetic into three steps:terror, Carnival and piety. The piety is an aesthetic category of his original. His analysis of the aesthetic psychological activity, was at the limit of blends with people, trying to break their opposition, and then established a harmonious aesthetic realm of compromise.This paper firstly introduced Schopenhauer and Nietzsche’s aesthetics in Germany thought background, as well as the main aesthetic of their thought. Secondly,I will introduce how the school of zhan guo ce and Germany will aesthetics can get together in he historical background, as well as Chen Quan and Lin Tongji selectively choose germany ideas to reform into their own aesthetic thought. Thirdly, I will discuss about how they combine the Chinese traditional culture with western culture to creat a new aesthetics thought, especially on the new explanation of the theory of literary criticism, literary and artistic creation and the China "Tao".
