Cao Wenzhi, the symbol is ZhuXu, who is born in She Xian county of AnHui.He is a famous politician, litterateur and a scholar of Qing Dynasty. He has two sons, one is a salt producer, and the other is a politician and poet. His grandfather was a well-known businessman between Huai Nan and Huai Bei, later moved to XiongCun.In the period of Qian Long, Cao Wenzhi was admitted to metropolitan graduate, experienced the Gao Zong and Ren Zong.He was an official for nearly thirty years, who had ever been a Zhan Shi Fu Zhan Shi, the left side Censor and minister. He used different ways to educate his sons.Fortunately; both of them had a great achievement and realized their dreams.It was worth mentioning. Each of them was very clever or talented, they were diligent and clean as offical, and knew a thing or two as businessman.Cao Wenzhi was diligent to work and wrote many books, twenty volumes of the Shek Kwu Petit Wenchao, thirty two volumes of the Shek Kwu Petit Poems, eight volumes of ZhiLu Ji, and two volumes of the Shek Kwu Petit Examination. The Shek Kwu Petit Wenchao was written by CaoWen-zhi, and collected by his sons. This book gathers his main poems in his life and includes many valuable historical materials.The Shek Kwu Petit Wenchao was written in his medium and later stage, it was rich in content, such as, the ancient laws and regulations, people, politics, custom and so on. These are beneficial to study the Qing Dynasty’s society, especially the Hui Zhou’s society.CaoWen-zhi regards "loyal, filial, honest and upright" as the tenet. The Shek Kwu Petit Wenchao contains many political events, thoughts and comments, which can save a lot of political events and academic style of Qing Dynasty, as well as many HuiZhou’s materials.The book has a high value in history. Firstly, it provides many materials about Qing Dynasty and HuiZhou region. Secondly, it gathers many people and political events, which can complement the Qing Dynasty’s history, finally, and we can understand the CaoWen-zhi and his study. Of course, this book makes some political opinion, its benefit to Qing’s society; his democratic ideal is also affected in that period.
