Research On The Art Features And Playing Skills Of Piano Suite 'Petit Flowers'

Bright Sheng is a Chinese-American composer who is active in Western mainstream countries.He was awarded the first runner-up for the 1989 Pulitzer Prize.Sheng is good at using Chinese-specific pentatonic sound sets in music creation.At the same time,he also has his own unique insights on how Chinese folk tunes are reproduced in the works.although it is difficult to express the unique tone of Chinese traditional music,Sheng solved this problem through the rational arrangement of composing techniques in the creative process.Therefore,I think that it is very meaningful to explore the technique of composing and playing techniques in ‘Petit Flowers'.Its research results can provide help for the majority of scholars and provide some new inspiration for their creation.This paper is mainly divided into four parts:In the first part,I will briefly introduce the life of Bright Sheng and the background of the creation of ‘Petit Flowers'.In the second part,I start with the music theme materials and music development methods of this department's work and explores the musical logic thinking of Sheng's creation of Chinese piano works.On this basis,I will also specialize in Sheng's ‘acoustic cavitation' of musical sounds.Separately analyzed and organized into a chapter for future reference by other scholars.In the third part,the author combines the essential characteristics of Chinese tunes,applying their own playing experience and existing theoretical knowledge to the characteristic tone and rhythmical beat of this work.In the fourth part,I will elaborate for blossoming flowers dedicated music creation concept and thinking about playing techniques,hope can through to the artistic features and performing techniques of a certain assistance could be provided for the player.
