On Name And Nature Of Format"Yi X Mingyi"

The Chinese format of "Yi X Mingyi" and its relative narratives are related to the relation between the name and nature of speech identity. After analysis, by using the data statistics of corpus linguistics and the "Small Triangle"theory in grammar ontological research, this paper explores the formats and meanings of "Yi X Mingyi"and its relative narratives and their pragmatical values, researches the relation between their formats and meanings and the one between name and nature, or "name matching nature"and "name not matching nature". Based on Chinese linguistic facts, the paper pursues the combinations of format and meaning, of statistic research and dynamic research, and of description and explanation, and investigates the essence of relation between name and nature behind this grammatical format and their pragmatical value.The paper is divided into six parts. The first part, or Introduction, introduces the relative current research, content, meaning, methods, basis and material resource. The second part analyzes the syntactic features of "Yi X Mingyi", analyzes and induces the format features of NP and VP that can enter this sentence format. The third part analyzes from semantic perspective the semantic relation between the agent in "Yi X Mingyi+V"and VP, especially the special semantic relations among the agent, noun that refers to persons and verb in the format of "agent+yi+noun referring to persons+mingyi+verb", deduces two agent-behaving relations of dominance and recessiveness between agent and VP. The forth part compares the format and meaning of the name-nature relation of the grammatical format based on the above syntactic and semantic analysis, in order to check the accuracy of modern Chinese dictionaries’two explanations of the name-nature relation of the format.The author holds that in the progress of communication, communicator can use "Yi X Mingyi" to highlight and transform his or her speech role, and thus carries out some kind of specific speech behavior, which shows that the use of the format has special pragmatic values related:(1) role highlighting. When the X in "Yi X Mingyi" refers to the communicator himself or herself, it has a equal identity and the pragmatic value of role highlighting.(2) role transformation. When the X in "Yi X Mingyi"is not the communicator himself or herself, it has the value of role transformation. The last part induces and summarizes the discussion of syntax, semantics and pragmatic value.
