The Study Of "He""Yu" Parallel Structure From Various Visual Angles In Contemporary Linguistics

From the traditional grammar view, the thesis which draws lessons from the triangular theory of exterior-interior value and combined with the basic principles of cognitive linguistics, adopts the method of description and explanation to state the "he","yu" parallel structure. It states syntactic characteristics, expression characteristics, pragmatic functions of the "he","yu" parallel structure, reveals the grammar characteristics and the use in reality, especially the inclination in spoken language. Meanwhile, It is hoped to explain the reasons of inclination. We hope to be able to help the Chinese learners’acquisition and use of conjunctions parallel structures correctly, and make a little contribution to the contemporary linguistics ontology research and the education career that the Chinese as a foreign language. The thesis mainly includes five chapters:First chapter is the introduction section outlines of current research status and achievements, research significance and methods. Under the guidance of traditional grammar,iunctional grammar and cognitive grammar theory, we use the reference of the predecessors and touch’s research results. Through statistical database, quantitative analysis and qualitative description and interpretation, comparative analysis and other methods,we study the "he","yu" parallel structure.The second chapter states "he","yu" parallel structure can connect substantive components and predicative components first, can act as a syntactic components apart. Both can connect a noun, pronoun, noun phrases and other substantive components. It also can link verbs, adjectives, verbal phrase and adjective phrases and other predicative components.Second, compare the differences and reasons of two syntactic distribution. The "he","yu" parallel structures generally serves as subjects, predicates, objects, and other syntactic components, but the situations they serves as adverbials,complements are different.The third chapter first according to the authoritative dictionaries, understand exact meaning of "he" and" yu". Secondly, we from the perspectives of additive relations and selective relations to interpret semantic characteristics of two and compare the semantic difference between both. Finally, from the angle of semantic proximity, we state the inherent proximity and temporary proximity of the "he","yu" parallel structure.The fourth chapter is the key of the thesis, sums up the "he","yu" parallel structure with commonality and analyzes their inclination to use. Common includes three points:1. The clarity of words.2. The remarkableness of semantic expression.3. The balance of the syntax expression. Then analysis both inclination use in spoken and written language, mainly from the distribution of connection items,the registers distribution, the phonetic complements. Second, according to the difference of quantitative comparison, marks default, connect the parallel double items.we analysis both in the using characteristics of spoken language. Finally, we discuss "yu" the importance of existence in contemporary linguistics.The fifth chapter is conclusion part, sums up and summarizes the main content of the thesis, points out shortcomings, shows some ideas about future study.
