In sociology, the contradiction between the two generations caused by different way of thinking and behavior is referred to as the "intergenerational gap" or " generation conflicts", it is one of the social change existence, also is the norm in real life. In recent years, it is easy to find that generation gap frequently appears on the screen of various kinds of images, this topic has become the main line of the plot development. In other words, Real world, those about family conflict and collision among generations in real world have been turning into deeper image expression.Intergenerational conflict is a form of intergenerational relationship, in all times and all kinds of society it is the objective existence. From the perspective of sociology, these differences mainly come from the difference of two generations socialization speed, and the conditions of practice in various social activities. So it is not only the question of age, but also the social and cultural problems. Along with the society’s vicissitude, intergenerational conflict is noticed increasingly by people, and it is used as a narrative theme image works more and more. No matter the early sitcom Home with Kids, or other image which are popular in recent years, such as Who Determines My Youth, Beijing youth, The Good Declaration of Daughter-in-law, The Little Dad and so on, are typical text combination image with conflicts. However, due to different contexts, intergenerational conflict also presents different features in the image. From the perspective of communication, as a kind of image text, intergenerational conflict also can be summed up in father-child conflict, mother-child conflict, mother in law-daughter in law conflict and grandparents-grandchildren conflict. Through the setting of the text structure, the arrangement of the plot conflict and the construction of character image, the images tell the family story, and convey the unique cultural connotation and realistic significance. Specifically, the ideology behind the images mainly include carrying forward the filial consciousness, strengthening the women’s status, presenting the differences of regional culture and the imbalances between urban and rural area.Based on the author’s questionnaire survey, we can find that most of the images can attract audience’s attention quickly, because they are more or less able to meet the audience’s Identity psychology, Peep psychology and entertainment psychology. And from the perspective of the encoding/decoding theory of Stuart Hall, on account of "its own cultural framework" for each is not identical, the audience will choose different position to decode the image, it mainly includes three models of interpretation. Three are the propensity interpretation, negotiation interpretation and against interpretation. Consultative reading, adversary read three modes. It is worth noting that no matter how the audiences decode, more and more image begins to show entertainment and demonizing, and the phenomenon of "cluster" also brings some negative effects to audiences. Such as aesthetic fatigue and the anxiety to family relationships. In view of this, the reflection of the conflicts in image has become inevitable and necessary in the level of academic. And the program of Where Are We Going Dad which was broadcast on Hunan satellite TV last year can give us some enlightenment that conflicts doesn’t need to be used to render and amplifier. Perhaps, we should put more lenses at intergenerational mutual communication, communication and love that can effectively promote intergenerational harmony and familial harmony, even the entire social harmony. At the same time, the motif of intergenerational conflict also should be inherited, amalgamated and innovated by us. Predictably, as the Dink and childless, single, aging families increasing, a growing number of dating drama parenting play and parent-child play will arises in order to meet the ever-changing demand of the market.
