It has united beauty and truth internally, and hasendowed aesthetics with Being, making it a rooted science from then on. EmilyDickinson, the American best-known female poet, is one of the foremost authors inAmerican literature. Her poems, as well as Walt Whitman’s, are regarded as a part of“American renaissance†and the modernization of both form and content of poems.She is considered to be pioneers of imagism. The bold and novel deviations,unpredictable images and the unique arrangements of phonological rhythm in herpoems convey her special experience as a gifted poet.This article combined Heidegger’s aesthetics with the theory and practice ofEmily Dickinson’s poets, also her lifestyle, to develop the similarities of their minds.This article has been divided into three parts. The first part is how to let beautyemerge. Emily Dickinson’s works is a good example and implementation ofHeidegger’s theory. The second part is the relationship between beauty and truth, thesetwo great minds have a common understanding on the essence of beauty and truth.They express their understanding in different ways. For Heidegger, is philosophy,while for Dickinson, is poets. The third part is analyzing how Dickinson carry out the"poetic habitation"in everyday life, which is one of the basic theory of Heidegger’sontology philosophy created to save people from mediocre lifestyle.According to the crossover study of Heidegger’s aesthetics and EmilyDickinson’s poems, this article tries to show the two great minds in different sectionsstrike similarities on the ideological core. |
