On The Narrative Analysis In Soushenji

Soushenji, edited by GanBao, has a special position in the Chinese literaturehistory. Researches on Soushenji from the20thcentury have basically focused on itsmythical characteristics. Based on Narratological theories and structure, this thesisgives a detailed analysis about the narrative skills of Soushenji.The research content of the paper includes three parts: the first part is theintroduction part, giving a summing up to the current research of Soushenji, from theaspects of traditional and western narrative research.The second part is the main body of the thesis, which includes three chapters: thefirst chapter studies the narrative subjectivity of Soushenji from the points of thenarrative level, and narratorial intrusion. The second chapter discusses the focus ofnarrative in Soushenji And the third chapter gives a detailed study on the narrativepattern of SoushenjiThe last part is the conclusion part, summing up Soushenji’s narrative art and itscontribution to aesthetic value.To get a specific and comprehensive analysis of the narrative aesthetics inSoushenji, the approach of this thesis mainly depends on Western narratology system,at the same time combining with traditional methods.
