The Language Art Study Of Mo Yan’s Novel 《Frog》

Chinese writer Mo Yan is the owner of2012Noble Prize in Literature. He is one of the most outstanding contemporary writer and he has creative his works for thirty years from the eighty’s of the last century to now. During these thirty years, with his works are becoming more and more mature, the language of Mo Yan’s novel has formed his own unique style. With the publishing of Mo Yan’s novel ’frog’ in2009, his creative level has been pushed to a new height. This novel is also won the eighth Mao Dun prize for Literature. This paper put this novel as its object of study to observe the language art of this novel from the perspective of linguistics.Without the part of conclusion, there are five chapters in this paper. The first chapter is the introduction, in this paper, the author mainly discusses the present research situation of Mo Yan’s novels and focuses on the research on Mo Yan’s novel language and then illuminate the main research contests in this paper. The second chapter mainly analyze the application of vocabulary in the novel. The author cites many examples from three aspects---the dialect words, idioms and foul language to analyze. Through these analyses we can explore the effect of using these words in Mo Yan’s novels. In the third chapter, we discuss the rhetorical art in the novel’frog’and we can discover that Mo Yan use many rhetoric by collecting a large number of language material. It not only riches the content of the novel, but also make the characters of the works more stereo. In the fourth chapter, we discuss the characteristics of the language style in this novel and analyze the formation process of his language style, then we analyze the reason why Mo Yan can create so unique language style. The fifth chapter we study the popularity and internationalism of the language in this novel from the perspective of language. It fully illustrates that Mo Yan’s works is not only the production of Chinese traditional culture, but also the combination of Chinese culture and world culture.This paper is mainly put Mo Yan’s novel<frog> as study object, using the research methods of induction and summary to study the language art of this novel from the perspective of linguistics on the basis of absorbing the previous research fruits. The author hope that through these study we can understand the language art and style of Mo Yan’s novel which is mature now and reflect the "Mo Yan style" which belong to Mo Yan’s novels.
