As one of the world’s three oldest system of Indian classical literary theory, the Indian classical literary theory is different from western literary theory and Chinese literary theory, it has been soaked and influenced by religion, language, literature, culture, tradition, etc., owning its distinguishing characteristics. During the ancient Indian society with strong religious environment undoubtedly religion had the most thorough and profound influence on the Indian classical literary theory,which is worth further studying. Indian Classical Literary theory developed in iron-clad religious society and caste system. The Hinduismus plays an important and sustained role in the history of India’s religions. Hinduismus’Brahman lineage decided that it had to be loyal to Brahman theocracy, which leads to the creation of literary and cultural theory being swept by Brahman. It was impossible for the Indian Classical Literary theory to escape being affected in that circumstances. The studying of the impact Hinduisms had on the Indian classical literary theory will help to get a more profound understanding and reflection on Indian classical literary theory. |
