The social mobility in Ming dynasty is very frequent,so it can be called a transitional period, and it has obvious performances in the economic, political, cultural, ideological and other aspects.It means the social relation and the relevant social order changed that a generation of social life is formed and mutates.The stateless people acts as a special class of the society, so there is a close relation between them and the society order. There is a large number of informations on the stateless people in<A Collection of Typed Rules and Regulations and in the Ming Dynasty>, and it reflects the social situation of the stateless people truly. In order to investigate the relation between the stateless people and the social order,the article,which treats the stateless people of Ming dynasty as the researching object, regards records of<A Collection of Typed Rules and Regulations and in the Ming Dynasty> as the studying center, and companied by the relevant documents and historical data.The main contents of the article are divided into three parts:Firstly, making a sensible argument of the various performances of Ming dynasty’s social mobility. In Ming dynasty,the diversified development trend of the economy,the declining ability of the political rule, the weakening trend of the ethics control, the liberalization tendency in cultural field, and the change of social fashion, all of them become the important development background of the stateless people. Secondly, exploring the composition and activities of the stateless people.This class includes a variety of types, and in order to survive, profit,they adopt different approaches in many fields. Such as in the political field, they either collude with officials and Quanhaoshiyao people or deceive the world by acting as impostors; in the area of economy, they will sell or make illegal things, and they will take on all things that related to the land tax also; in the legal field, the litigation of reversing black and white to deprive people’s assets or trap people in sin will be designed by them, and so on. All these actions show that the stateless people plays an important role in society.Finally, analysing the relationship between the stateless people and the social order. Those activities are taken by this class in many fields of the society, not only disrupt the social economic order,undermine the government’s administrative ability, corrupt the social fashion, but also destroy the legal order and impact the social stability state.Thus,the stateless people in Ming dynasty plays an important role in the change of social order.
