Lexical Research Of "Feng" In Chinese

The Chinese lexicology study embodies the soul of Chinese culture, which has nationality and humanity, is one of the most important branches of the study of Chinese. The Chinese lexicology is made up of idiom, proverb and two-part allegorical saying. It’s not merely to reflect a peculiarity of Chinese language, but to convey the lingering charm of Chinese language."Feng" is a fundamental and meaningful word in Chinese language. This dissertation explores the word of "feng" and the thread of it’s developing at the outset, and then to describe, classify and analysis the relevant vocabulary of "feng" that contains feng idioms, feng proverb and feng two-part allegorical saying which was chosen in so many of words, and makes a research from structure, semantic and metaphor. It was from the study of "feng" and grasp the overall the word of "feng" that so much was learnt about the lexicalization consist of feng morpheme. It’s not only manifest a particular meaning in the natural category, social category, aesthetic category and medical category, but also become a unique cultural carrier with the extent development of cognitive metaphor. In addition, this thesis analyzes the system of "feng" vocabulary, made us have a complete picture of the feng morpheme in the "feng" lexicalization and understand the use of it in a particular situation. I hope it can provide some valuable reference and discussion for the study of the lexical system.
